Privacy Policy

WorthCurve is built on a simple principle: your financial data is yours.

The Short Version

The financial information you enter is calculated and stored in your browser. WorthCurve has no accounts and keeps no server-side copy of your plan. The providers below process limited technical data (hosting logs, anonymous usage events) — never your financial numbers. One click deletes everything WorthCurve stores on your device.

Information You Enter

Ages, incomes, balances, contributions, debts, and goals that you type into the planner or calculators are processed entirely in your browser and saved to your browser's local storage so your plan persists between visits. This data is not transmitted to or stored on our servers. It remains on your device until you delete it or clear your browser data.

Service Providers

  • Hosting (Vercel). Serving the site produces standard web-server logs (IP address, user agent, requested page). We do not add financial data to URLs, so these logs never contain plan contents.
  • Analytics (Google Analytics via Google Tag Manager, when enabled — and only if you allow it).Analytics does not run and no analytics cookie is set until you choose "Allow" on the consent banner; we also honor the Global Privacy Control browser signal as a decline. When allowed, we use basic, anonymized web analytics to understand general usage (page views, which buttons are clicked). Events carry interaction names only — never dollar amounts, ages, balances, or other financial values. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes your IP address and device information under Google's privacy policy. Because your plan is never written into the page URL, it cannot leak through page-view tracking, browser history sync, or referrer headers.

We use no error-monitoring, session-replay, or advertising scripts, and we do not sell or share your information for advertising. You can change your analytics choice here at any time:

Shared Links

Share links are created only when you explicitly click "Copy share link". Your plan is encoded into the URL fragment— the part after the #, which browsers never transmit to servers, referrer headers, or analytics tools. We do not store shared plans in any database and cannot revoke a link once you've sent it. Anyone with the exact link can decode the numbers in it, so share deliberately. When you open a shared link, the data is imported and the URL is immediately cleaned from your address bar.

Shared Devices

Because your plan lives in the browser, anyone who uses the same browser profile on the same device can open it. On a shared or public computer, use a private browsing window (your data disappears when the window closes) or delete your data before leaving.

Deleting Your Data

The plan page's share menu includes "Delete all my data", which erases every WorthCurve key from your browser's local storage in one click. You can export a .worthcurve backup file first — it's plain, readable JSON that belongs to you. Clearing your browser's site data does the same thing. There is nothing to delete on our side, because nothing was stored there.

Retention

Data in your browser persists until you delete it. Hosting logs and analytics data are retained by the providers above under their standard retention schedules (typically 2–14 months). We keep no user database of our own.

Children

WorthCurve is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
